The questions everyone asks
What will I actually learn from the test?
A species-level read of your gut: which bacteria you carry, how diverse your microbiome is, where you sit against a healthy reference range, and what to do about it — reviewed and signed off by a scientist.
Is this a medical test?
No. nb1 is a wellness and lifestyle product. Your report is informational and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition. If you have a medical concern, speak to your doctor.
How long does it take?
About two weeks from the day your sample reaches the laboratory. We email you when it arrives and when your report is ready.
What if my sample fails?
It happens occasionally. We send a replacement kit at no cost. Tip: return your sample the day you take it — it is stable without refrigeration for 2 days and must reach the laboratory within 5.
Who can see my results?
Your sample is processed under an anonymised ID. Results are visible to you and to the reviewing scientist. We do not sell your data.
Can I take the test if I am pregnant, nursing, or on medication?
The test itself is a sample collection and carries no risk. If you go on to take supplements, consult your healthcare provider first.
Do you ship to my country?
We currently ship to Germany, France, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom.
